Dailey, Alex 69, a resident of Camden, AL died at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL on Monday, February 19, 2018. A graveside service will be Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Society Hill Cemetery with Brother Rodney Tidwell officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral home directing.
Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his parents: George and Eloise Dailey and sister: Linda Dailey Bishop; son: Alex Daniel Dailey, Jr.; great-granddaughter: Anastasia Gray.
He is survived by his wife: Anna Maria Dailey of Camden, AL; children: Melissa Dailey McNider (Bruce) of Thomasville, AL, Mary Ann Wright (Richard) of Camden, AL, Vivian McIlwain of Rockport, TX, John Gerry Dailey of Camden, AL and Dani Dailey Oglesby (Luke) of Gardendale, AL; grandchildren: Michael Lance Brasell (Chelsea) of Lake View, AL, Danyel McIlwain of Millry, AL, Shelton McIlwain of Millry, AL, Mary Alex McNider of Thomasville, AL, Lennie McIlwain of Rockport, TX, John Bruce McNider, III of Thomasville, AL, Alex Lucas Dailey of Camden, AL, Addison Oglesby of Gardendale, AL, Trenton Oglesby of Gardendale, AL, Karsyn McInnis of Camden, AL, Blakely Oglesby of Gardendale, AL and Levi Cash McInnis of Camden, AL; great-grandchildren: Kendrick Gray, III, Kendan Gray, Alahna Gray and Raleigh Jo Brasell; sister, Dianne Dailey; brothers: Johnny Dailey and Gerry Dailey (Geebee) and many nieces and nephews.
Dan proudly served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He received numerous medals including the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and The Purple Heart.
