Aloisia "Lisa" (Haslinger) Stuart

April 9, 1934 ~ July 6, 2018 (age 84)

Aloisia “Lisa” Stuart, age 84 of Greenville passed away Friday, July 6, 2018.  Graveside services will be Monday, July 9, 2108 at 11:00 a.m.  at Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville, AL with Brother Lane Simmons officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stuart was preceded in death by her husband Pierce “Ted” Stuart, her parents Alois and Katharina Haslinger, and sisters Ann Haslinger, Mitzi Haslinger, and Hermione Haslinger.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra S (Dale) Jackson of Greenville, AL and Cindy S. (Sherman) Goocher of Montgomery, AL; Grandchildren Stephen Matthews of Deatsville, AL, Layla Bowden of Luverne, AL, and Regan Goocher, Mary Stuart Goocher, and Caroline Goocher all of Montgomery, AL; a special sister Agnes Stuart, and many nieces and nephews.

Aloisia “Lisa” Haslinger Stuart was born in 1934 in Friedberg, Czechoslovakia, a German area called the Sudetenland of Bohemia. Following WWII, the family did not want to remain under communist rule, so they relocated to an interim camp in Germany. From there, they relocated to Ludwigsburg, Germany; there she met and fell in love with Sgt. Pierce “Ted” Stuart Jr. He was an army medic stationed nearby. They married in 1954 and moved back to Greenville, Alabama, Ted’s home.

She and Ted owned several businesses together in Illinois and Greenville, Alabama. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, served them selflessly, and devoted her life to them.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alacare Hospice 321 Greenville By-Pass, Greenville, Al 36037 or First Assembly of God, 760 N. Conecuh Street, Greenville, Al 36037. Active Pallbearers will be Stephen Matthews, Alex Bowden, Jeff Matthews, Doug Tierce, Kenneth Till, and Keith Till.
